Institutional Innovations for Ecological Organic Agriculture in Africa (IIABA) project is financed by the French Development Agency (AFD) and coordinated by African -based International Non-Governmental Organization (I-NGO), the African Organic Network (AfrONet) headquartered in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania.

AFD has allocated Euro 1,498,000 grant to AfrONet and its partners for the purpose of scaling up and out Ecological and Organic Agriculture across the African continent.

IIABA is set to catalyze a change in the scale of organic agriculture in Uganda, Morocco and Tanzania and in so doing to facilitate its development more generally in Africa

Aim

The project aims to implement institutional innovations that will scale up and out ecological and organic agriculture in MoroccoTanzania, and Uganda and at the same time consolidate the capacities of AfrONet and its members.

Objectives

  • Implement Institutional innovations that will scale up and out ecological and organic agriculture in Morocco, Tanzania, and Uganda

  • Consolidate the capacities of AfrONet and its members.

  • Dissemination of the institutional innovations to partner countries and within AfrONet.
