Project Overview

The "Institutional Innovations for Organic Agriculture in Africa" (IIABA) initiative is a pioneering effort to propel organic agriculture beyond simple production augmentation. Recognizing the increasing importance of the sector in ensuring food security, nutrition, and climate change mitigation, this project focuses on the systemic changes required for long-term sustainability.

By bridging the gap between research institutions, grassroots movements, and federations, IIABA seeks to identify and advocate for groundbreaking institutional innovations in markets, certification, and public policies on both national and continental scales.
